How do I create an Activity Series
in ACT?
I have an action plan of following up with my clients with
calls, meetings etc. For this I want to create an activity series
in ACT! that will schedule all the activities in it. Is
there anyway I can do it?
Yes, you have an option to create an activity series in ACT!
- For this go to Contact menu and choose Create/Edit Activity
Series
- Select "Create a New Activity Series" in the
Introduction panel and click next
- Select your options in the Series Date panel
- Add the first activity in the series in the First Activity
panel, then click next.
- To Add/edit/delete more activities, select the option in the
series panel, then click next.
- Enter the name of the Activity Series.
- To assign the Activity Series to the Current Contact, Look
up or All Contacts, first look up a contact or group of
contacts.
- Go to Contact menu and choose Schedule Activity Series.
- Select the appropriate Activity Series.
Are there any Short Cuts to create Contacts, Schedule,
Write documents, Insert Notes, Record
History, Add Attachments or assign contacts to a Group?
There is a very easy way to do this!
- Position your mouse over the background in the upper part of
the contact screen.
- Click the Right Mouse button and a menu will pop-up that
will allow to do all of the above functions.
When I use Internet Explorer and want to go to a web site,
such as www.yahoo.com, I have
to type out the full website. Is there a short cut that I
can use?
Sure! There is a very easy way to do this
- In the web address box in Internet Explorer, type the basic
URL, "Yahoo"
- Then hold the <Ctrl> key down and press <Enter>
- the "www." and ".com" will
be automatically added for you.
